    You have the opportunity to create lasting memories in a relaxed and elegant setting while serving 4-hour, 9-course dining experiences at The Herbfarm Restaurant. Smiles, Elegance, and Grace. If you have several years of fine dining or hospitality experience or have dined extensively, you could apply for this position.

    We seek an enthusiastic, passionate, disciplined, organized, warm, team member who is eager to learn The Herbfarm ways and provide better-than-expected service as part of our focused yet fun-loving service team. If you are interested in food, interested in sharing that knowledge, and want to make folks happy we may be able to teach you to be a server.

    The Herbfarm is a world-class fine dining experience where our food follows the seasons. Our feet are on the ground and we usually have a sense of humor. We are the only 5-diamond restaurant west of Chicago and north of San Francisco. That said, we are also the only restaurant serving 9-course meals where guests can visit and feed our pet piggies during dinner.


    This position involves final setting of the dining room, detailed understanding of menu, desire to create wonderful memories for our guests as part of a like-minded, caring team.     Experience and Qualifications

    •College Education
    •3 Years fine hospitality serving experience—OR fine dining consumption experience
    •Able to communicate well with guests about food.
    •A genuine desire to serve the customer and the company
    •Broad knowledge of fine dining foods and wines.

    Skills needed

    • Tableside verbal presentation skills
    • Comfortable in tight spaces, and up & down stairs to serve customers.
    • Grace moving through the dining room while serving and clearing dishes and glasses.

    The server job is 1-4 nights per week all year. Thursday through Sunday and one 6-hour daytime shift per month. Evening shifts are generally 8-10 hours. Schedules set monthly and revised weekly. Samplings of fine food with wine matches are a regular perq of this job.

    Benefits and Compensation

    •Pay: Consistent, hourly non-tipped position at market rate
    •Review in 6 months and then annually

    •PTO: Employees can accrue up to 10 dyas in their first year. Years 2-5 acrue upto 2 weeks per year. Vacation accrues up to 3 weeks per year after 5 years of employment

    •Health Insurance: Medical and Dental program of which The Herbfarm currently pays half after 2 months if averaging over 30 hours.
